Top Golfer Tour 2018
Alken Brothers Wine Merchants are delighted to be official sponsors of the Top Golfer Tour for the second year running. We are proud to be supporting Irish Amateur golf and look forward to working with the tour in 2018. This is a great platform for keen golfers to play in a friendly and competitive environment while trying to qualify for the Playoffs and Tour Championships. We have an exciting portfolio of wines chosen for the Irish market and will be offering prizes of Los Haroldos wine throughout the season.
First and foremost, TopGolfer is a community for golfers who are dedicated and passionate enough about the game to call it an obsession. To play in any Tour or Member Events, that obsession has to be matched by talent because they are only open to golfers whose CONGU handicap is less than 10. Registering with the TopGolfer Community is absolutely free – in fact there are lots of perks to registration. Once you’re in, you can chat to other topgolfers in a forum, enter tour events, receive invites to members events and keep up to date with TopGolfer news.
The Tour will begin in April 2018 on the links at Rosslare Golf Club, who have revived their 36-hole links Junior Scratch. There has been an addition of some superb new venues including Arklow Golf Club, Slieve Russell Resort, Donabate Golf Club, plus returning to popular venues from last season like Mountrath GC, Bunclody GC, Castle GC, Kilcock GC, Killeen GC, Millicent GC, Wexford GC, Dromoland GC and more. All Tour Events are either Junior (handicap bracket 4/5-9) or Senior (handicap bracket 4/ 5 and lower) Scratch Cups.
The TopGolfer PlayOffs which will take place at Macreddin GC in September.
The Top 10 finishers from the PlayOffs event and the top 13 competitors in the Order of Merit Table (after PlayOffs points have been allocated and the automatic 10 qualifiers have been removed) will also progress to The TopGolfer Tour Championship.
The Tour Championship is a 2-day 36-hole Shootout event which will take place at Druids Glen Resort in early October 2018. This invitational includes two games of golf, dinner and overnight accommodation.
The TopGolfer Order of Merit (OOM) is your chance to experience life on tour. Accumulate points throughout the season, climb the Order of Merit Table, qualify for the PlayOffs event at a top course and ultimately secure an invite to the TopGolfer Tour Championship at a leading golf resort at the end of September 2018. Deadline for joining the TopGolfer Order of Merit (excluding event winners who are automatically added to the leaderboard) is 13th July 2018, after the event at The Grange GC.
